Further casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of Mike Leigh’s ABIGAIL’S PARTY.

Joining the previously announced Jodie Prenger as Beverly will be: Vicky Binns as Angela, Calum Callaghan as Tony, Daniel Casey as Lawrence and Rose Keegan as Susan.

Directed by Sarah Esdiale, this production of Mike Leigh’s 1970s comedy premiered at Theatre Royal Bath last year starring Amanda Abbington to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the piece. The play, which follows two warring couples in British suburbia, is perhaps best known for the 1977 BBC television adaptation which starred Alison Steadman.

ABIGAIL’S PARTY opens in Brighton in January. The tour will then visit Birmingham, York, Glasgow, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Woking, Northampton, Blackpool, Aylesbury, Liverpool, Dartford, Manchester and Edinburgh.
