FIDDLER ON THE ROOF premiered on Broadway in 1964 featuring music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and book by Joseph Stein. The story centres around milkman Tevye, the father of five daughters in Imperial Russia, as he tries to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions as outside influences encroach on his family life. It’s been performed countless times on Broadway, the West End and around the world. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF was adapted into a successful film in 1971 starring Chaim Topol. It features now iconic songs such as ‘Tradition’, ‘Sunrise, Sunset’ and ‘If I Were a Rich Man’.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory until 9th March 2019. It officially opens to the press 5th December 2018.
