Full casting has been announced for Lucinda Coxon’s upcoming adaptation of Harriet Lane’s ALYS, ALWAYS, opening at London’s Bridge Theatre in February 2019.
Joining the previously announced Joanne Froggatt and Robert Glenister will be; Danny Ashok as Sid, Joanna David as Charlotte, Leah Gayer as Polly, Simon Manyonda as Oliver, Sylvestra La Touzel as Mary / Audrey, Jeff Rawle as Robin / Mr Thorpe, Vineeta Rishi as Julia Price, Sue Wallace as Mrs Thorpe and Sam Woolf as Teddy.
Adapted from Harriet Lane’s 2012 novel, ALYS, ALWAYS follows journalist Frances, who discovers an upturned car. As she waits for the ambulance to arrive, Frances learns of the victim’s famous family, and finds herself on the other side of the world she reports on. Lucinda Coxon adapts the psychological thriller for the stage.
The piece will be directed by Bridge AD Nicholas Hytner and will feature set design by Bob Crowley, costume design by Christina Cunningham, lighting design by Jon Clark, music by Grant Olding, sound design by Gareth Fry and video design by Luke Halls.
ALYS, ALWAYS runs at London’s Bridge Theatre from 25th February to 30th March. Tickets are on sale now.
