Directed by Lynette Linton (who was recently announced as new AD of the Bush), SWEAT is a tale of friends pitted against each other by big business and the decline of the American Dream. Set in Reading, Pennsylvania, and based on real conversations between the townsfolk and Lynn Nottage, SWEAT explores one of the poorest cities in the US, and the people who live and work here.

Nottage’s play was the winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama after enjoying an acclaimed run on Broadway that year.

Casting for the production includes: Leanne Best, Patrick Gibson, Osy Ikhile, Wil Johnson, Stuart McQuarrie, Clare Perkins, Martha Plimpton, Sule Rimi and Sebastian Viveros.

SWEAT features direction by Lynette Linton, design by Frankie Bradshaw, lighting by Oliver Fenwick, music and sound by George Dennis, movement by Polly Bennett, video by Gino Ricardo Green and fight direction by Kate Waters.

SWEAT runs at Donmar Warehouse to 26th January 2019. Tickets are on sale now.
