Full casting has been announced for the upcoming West End transfer of Laura Wade’s HOME, I’M DARLING, opening at the Duke of York’s Theatre at the end of this month.
Katherine Parkinson reprises her role of Judy following her acclaimed performance in the role at Theatr Clwyd and the National Theatre in Summer 2018. She is joined by Sara Gregory as Alex and Richard Harrington as Johnny, also reprising their roles from the initial run last year. The cast is completed by Charlie Allen, Susan Brown, Ellie Burrow, Siubhan Harrison, Jane MacFarlane and Hywel Morgan.
Laura Wade’s new comedy follows one woman’s quest to become the perfect 1950s housewife, as the secrets and inner workings begin to unravel behind the gingham curtains. HOME, I’M DARLING features direction from Theatr Clwyd artistic director Tamara Harvey with design by Anna Fleischle.
HOME, I’M DARLING premiered at North Wales venue Theatr Clwyd in June 2018 before enjoying an acclaimed transfer to the Dorfman Theatre at London’s National Theatre the same Summer. The production transfers to the Duke of York’s Theatre until April 2019 when it will then tour to Theatre Royal Bath, The Lowry in Salford before returning to its home venue Theatr Clwyd in May 2019. Tour casting for the character Johnny (played by Richard Harrington in the West End) is still to be announced,
HOME, I’M DARLING previews at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 26th January with opening night scheduled for 5th February. The production is booking until 13th April. Tickets are on sale now.
