The RSC’s productions of AS YOU LIKE IT, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and MEASURE FOR MEASURE are to transfer to London’s Barbican Theatre later this year.
Kimberley Sykes’ production of AS YOU LIKE IT opens the London season on 26th October. Lucy Phelps leads the cast as Rosalind whilst David Ajao plays Orlando. AS YOU LIKE IT features set design by Stephen Brimson Lewis, costume and lighting by Bretta Gerecke, music by Tim Sutton, sound by Jonathan Ruddick, movement by Ayse Tashkiran and fights by Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown.
On 5th November, Justin Audibert’s gender-swapped version of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW joins the repertory. Claire Price plays Petruchia with Joseph Arkley as Katherine. THE TAMING OF THE SHREW has design by Stephen Brimson Lewis, costumes by Hannah Clark, lighting by Matt Peel, music by Ruth Chan, sound by Claire Windsor, movement by Lucy Cullingford and fights by Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown.
Finally, Gregory Doran’s MEASURE FOR MEASURE begins at the Barbican from 12th November. The production stars Sandy Grierson as Angelo, Antony Byrne as the Duke, and Lucy Phelps as Isabella. MEASURE FOR MEASURE features design by Stephen Brimson Lewis, costumes by Hannah Clark, lighting by Matt Peel, music by Ruth Chan, sound by Claire Windsor, movement by Lucy Cullingford and fights by Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown.
The three shows are currently being performed in rep at The RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon until 31st August. The productions will then tour to Salford in September 2019 prior to the Barbican. The tour then continues in early 2020 visiting Canterbury, Plymouth, Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Blackpool.

AS YOU LIKE IT runs at the Barbican from 26th October to 18th January, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW runs from 5th November to 18th January, and MEASURE FOR MEASURE runs from 12th November to 16th January. Tickets go on general sale from 29th May.
