AMOUR Announces Early Closure at Charing Cross Theatre

It’s been announced that the UK premiere of AMOUR, currently running at London’s Charing Cross Theatre, is to close early.

Michel Legrand’s musical, which opened at the Embankment theatre last month, is to now close on 8th June, after originally being scheduled to run at the venue to 20th July.

Producer Danielle Tarento said: ‘I want to thank and applaud the brilliant company and creative team who created a beautiful production that received critical acclaim, nightly standing ovations and received 8 Off-West End Award nominations. I am so incredibly proud of this gorgeous show and I hope London will give it the rousing send-off it deserves in its final two weeks.’

AMOUR, set in 1950’s Paris, follows civil servant Dusoleil, whose mundane life of writing letters to his mother and attempting to win over his love Isabelle is changed when he discovers he gains the ability to walk through walls.

The Charing Cross production is directed by Hannah Chissick and stars Gary Tushaw, Anna O’Byrne, Alasdair Harvey, Elissa Churchill, Claire Machin, Keith Ramsay, Jack Reitman, Steven Serlin, Alistair So and Laura Barnard.

AMOUR features choreography by Matt Cole, production design by Adrian Gee, lighting design by Rob Halliday, sound design by Andrew Johnson and musical direction by Jordan Li-Smith.

AMOUR runs at London’s Charing Cross Theatre to 8th June. Tickets are on sale now.
