Full casting has been announced for the UK premiere of Dave Malloy’s song cycle GHOST QUARTET, the inaugural production at London’s brand new Boulevard Theatre.
The ensemble cast features Carly Bawden (ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS at Shakespeare’s Globe, ASSASSINS at Menier Chocolate Factory), Niccolò Curradi (LA STRADA at The Other Palace), Maimuna Memon (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, LAZARUS at King’s Cross Theatre) and Zubin Varla (EQUUS at Trafalgar Studios, FUN HOME at the Young Vic).
GHOST QUARTET is written by Dave Malloy, best known for his Broadway hit NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. Malloy is currently represented in London with the UK premiere of his 2015 musical PRELUDES, now previewing at Southwark Playhouse. GHOST QUARTET is described as a musical song cycle about ‘love, death and whiskey’ and follows four interwoven stories.
Bill Buckhurst directs the piece with musical direction and supervision by Benjamin Cox, design by Simon Kenny, movement direction by Georgina Lamb, lighting by Emma Chapman, sound design by David Gregory and casting by Will Burton.
GHOST QUARTET will open the door’s of London’s newest theatre on 24th October as previews begin. The Soho-based is led by Soho Estates’ Fawn James and artistic director Rachel Edwards. More information on the Boulevard Theatre can be found here.
