It’s been announced that THRILLER LIVE will end its 11 year run at the West End’s Lyric Theatre in April 2020, as owners Nimax announce that the Lyric will undergo a major refurbishment.
Producers have confirmed that in order for work at the Lyric to be completed, THRILLER LIVE will end its record-breaking run in the West End on Sunday 26th April 2020, at which point the show will have completed 4,705 performances, making it the longest-running show in the Lyric’s history, and the 11th longest-running musical in West End history.
In the announcement, THRILLER LIVE also confirmed that plans are underway to transfer the production to a new West End home, as well as a second production undertaking a 12-month worldwide tour, beginning in Switzerland in December 2019.

THRILLER LIVE now plans to spend its last seven-months at the Lyric with a series of special events and ‘big name surprise guest stars’. This starts with the publication of THRILLER LIVE director / choreographer Gary Lloyd’s new ‘fly-on-the-wall’ book, My Life With Michael – Ten Years of THRILLER LIVE.
THRILLER LIVE is a concert revue celebrating the life and music of Michael Jackson. The show opened at London’s Lyric Theatre in 2009 with productions following in places such as China, South Africa, Singapore, Japan, Egypt and Israel.
