Theatre Royal Bath has confirmed casting for two of its productions in its Welcome Back season, reopening the theatre next month.
The season begins with a new production of Harold Pinter’s mesmerising masterpiece of relationships and adultery, Betrayal, directed by the venue’s Artistic Director Jonathan Church. The cast stars Olivier Award-winner Nancy Carroll (The Moderate Soprano), Joseph Millson (Mary Poppins), Edward Bennett (One Man, Two Guvnors) and Christopher Bianchi (a regular at the Bristol Old Vic and Tobacco Factory). Betrayal runs from 14th to 31st October.
From 4th to 21st November, Haydn Gwynne (The Welkin), Michael Gould (Vassa) and Philip Arditti (Oslo) compromise the ensemble of Michael Frayn’s award-winning Copenhagen. Set in Nazi-occupied Copenhagen, the 1998 play is based on the true meeting between Nobel Prize winning physicists, Dane Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg. This new revival is directed by Polly Findlay (Beginning, Macbeth).
Casting for the Nicole Charles-helmed production of David Mamet’s Oleanna, running from 25th November to 12th December, is still to be revealed. Full creative teams for the productions are also still to be announced.
Tickets for The Welcome Back season are on sale now.
