Thomas’ ‘play for voices’ interrogates the thoughts and dreams of a small rural town in Wales. The piece premiered as a radio drama for the BBC in 1954. A film adaptation was released in 1972, whilst another screen adaptation of the play for the BBC commemorated the play’s 60th anniversary in 2014.

Under Milk Wood runs at the National Theatre from 16th June to 24th July. Tickets for the production are currently sold out, but keep an eye on the website for returns and rush tickets closer to performances.
