Cast revealed for musical adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock Presents at Theatre Royal Bath

Casting has been revealed for brand new show Alfred Hitchcock Presents – The Musical at the Theatre Royal Bath. Based on hit American TV show of the same name, the musical adaptation is premieres in Bath from 22 March 2025 to 12 April 2025.

Appearing in the new musical will be Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins; Singin’ in the Rain), Sally Ann Triplett (Chicago; Cabaret; Mamma Mia!), Nicola Hughes (Fosse; Porgy and Bess; Into The Woods; Opening Night), Gary Milner (Kiss Me KateEvita; Parade) and Damian Humbley (The Great British Bake Off Musical; Merrily We Roll Along).

Based on the legendary television series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents – The Musical brings together a stellar cast to tell extraordinary interwoven tales of betrayal, blackmail and homicide from the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, the creative genius behind iconic movies Psycho, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Rear Window, The Birds and many more.

Characters played by the talented cast include a paranoid housewife, a duplicitous jazz singer, a witness to murder, an escaped convict and a man literally on the edge.

The show is helmed by Tony Award-winning director John Doyle (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Company), and features an original score by Steven Lutvak, who won the Tony Award for Best Musical for his work on A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. The stage adaptation is penned by Jay Dyer, writer of Showtime’s Californication.

The creative team will also include co-set designers John Doyle and David L. Arsenault; costume designer Jonathan Lipman; lighting designer Johanna Town; music supervisor Catherine Jayes; orchestrator Jason Carr; casting director Ginny Schiller CDG; and musical director Benjamin Holder. The production is produced by Theatre Royal Bath in association with Universal Theatrical Group. 

Alfred Hitchcock Presents – The Musical runs at Theatre Royal Bath from 22 March to 12 April 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
