Sharon Osbourne, Dani and Danny Dyer and More Join 2019 Cast of NATIVITY!

Full casting has been announced for the 2019 UK tour of NATIVITY! THE MUSICAL.

The tour launches at the Wolverhampton Grand on 29th October before visiting Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre, Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre, Cardiff’s Wales Millenium Centre, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre followed by a final stint at London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith between 11th and 29th December.

In London, Sharon Osbourne (Crystal Collins), Dani Dyer (Polly Parker) and her father Danny Dyer (The Hollywood Producer) join the previously announced Rylan Clark-Neal (The Critic) and Simon Lipkin (Mr Poppy). Dani and Danny Dyer return to NATIVITY! having performed at the Eventim Apollo last Christmas.

Furthermore, Dani Dyer will play the role of Polly Parker in Wolverhampton, Cardiff and Southampton.

Scott Paige will play the role of Mr Poppy (Simon Lipkin in London) in Wolverhampton, Cardiff, Southampton, Aylesbury and Plymouth. Paige will play the role of Mr Rye during the production’s London stint.

Rounding out the principal cast, Scott Garnham and Ashleigh Grey reprise their roles as Mr Maddens and Jennifer Lore from last year’s tour.

The adult cast is completed by Jonathan Bourne, Charles Brunton, Jamie Chapman, Penelope Woodman, Dawn Buckland, Connor Ewing, Kade Ferraiolo, Amy Oxley, Helena Pipe and Billy Roberts.

The cast is joined by 20 children aged 9 to 12 from the Midlands, playing the students of St Bernadette’s School. The children’s cast is composed of Thomas Bastable, Evie Bennell-Low, Olivia Brooks, Niamh Crowley, Erin Freeman, Lucas Haywood, Alexander Hogg, Kheiri Isaac-Osmani, Isabel Landers, Evie Mallen, Joshua Millard-Lloyd, Ana Morgan, Ela Morgan, Amy-Louise Mulhall, Alastair Ngwenya, Gerald Ngwenya, Tega Oduko, Kayan Parmar, Lyla Peters, Katelyn Rollason, Teddy Saberton, Grace Townley and Nicholas Vakis.

The musical is a stage adaptation of Debbie Isitt’s 2009 film which starred Martin Freeman. NATIVITY! follows a Coventry based primary school where teachers Mr Maddens, and his assistant Mr Poppy, mount a musical version of the nativity with the promise of it being turned into a Hollywood movie. Film creator Debbie Isitt has written and directed the stage adaptation which features music and lyrics by Nicky Ager and Isitt, choreography by Andrew Wright, design by David Woodhead, lighting by Tim Mitchell, sound by Tom Marshall and musical supervision and orchestrations by George Dyer.
