Full casting has been announced for the European premiere of Jordan Tannahill‘s BOTTICELLI IN THE FIRE, opening at Hampstead Theatre next month,
Directed by Blanche McIntyre (TARTUFFE at the National Theatre, BARTHOLOMEW FAIR at Shakespeare’s Globe), this hot-blooded and seductive reimagining of Renaissance Italy questions how much of ourselves we are willing to sacrifice when society comes off the rails.
Featuring in the cast is Hiran Abeysekera (LIFE OF PI at Sheffield Crucible, The Prisoner at National Theatre) as Leonardo Da Vinci, Stefan Adegbola (TITUS ANDRONICUS at the RSC) as Poggio Di Chullu, Dickie Beau (RE-MEMBER ME at Almeida Theatre) as Sandro Botticelli, Adetomiwa Edun (TRANSLATIONS at National Theatre) as Lorenzo De Medic, Louise Gold (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at Menier Chocolate Factory and Playhouse Theatre, GYPSY at Savoy Theatre) as Madre Maria, Sirine Saba (WIFE at Kiln Theatre) as Clarice Orsini / Venus and Howard Ward (THE HUNT at Almeida Theatre, OSLO at Harold Pinter Theatre) as Girolamo Savonarola.
